Paula Scher
Monumental typography, hand-painted maps, controlled exuberance
A figure of American typographic maximalism, Paula Scher has shaped the look of New York's Public Theater since 1994: a full-page, dense, living typographic language.
A Pentagram partner since 1991, she has signed landmark identities — CBS Records, Citi, Microsoft, Tiffany, the New York Times Magazine — and her series of hand-painted maps.
